Trailblazer Leadership Through Heritage & Arts

Empowering Future Leaders Through History, Culture, and Creativity

At Viola Heritage House Museum, we believe every young person has the potential to be a trailblazer. Our signature program, Trailblazer Leadership Through Heritage & Arts, connects youth in Fort Bend County to their history, community, and leadership potential — all through the power of learning, creativity, and service.

Program Highlights:

✨ Leadership Workshops
Students build critical life skills—public speaking, financial literacy, civic engagement, and advocacy.

✨ Heritage Exploration
Youth explore African American history in Fort Bend County, including the inspiring story of Trailblazer Viola G. Randle, and learn about the importance of historic preservation.

✨ Creative Arts Projects
Students express their leadership journey through art: creating murals, spoken word performances, storytelling exhibits, and community art pieces.

✨ Trailblazer Service Projects
Youth design and lead service projects that positively impact their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.

✨ Graduation Showcase
At the end of the program, students present their work at our annual Heritage & Hats, Youth Trailblazer Showcase and other community events.
