1st Annual Heritage & Hats – 100th Birthday Celebration for Trailblazer Viola G. Randle
Held at the Fort Bend Museum, this unforgettable event honored the legacy and 100th birthday of Trailblazer Viola G. Randle, the first African American mayor of Fulshear, Texas. Guests celebrated in style with heritage, hats, and heartfelt tributes. The inaugural Viola G. Randle Trailblazer Award was proudly presented to two outstanding community leaders: Sharon D. Harris and Dr. Barbara Allen, recognizing their exceptional contributions and commitment to leadership and service.
Expose Black Artistry – Youth Art Contest
In celebration of Black History Month, the Viola Heritage House Museum proudly partnered with the Expose Excellent Youth Program as a guest judge for their Expose Black Artistry event. This inspiring program showcased the incredible talents of youth through a powerful art contest honoring Black culture and creativity. Nicole Stewart represented the museum as a judge, supporting young artists and helping uplift the next generation of cultural leaders. We had an amazing time — and we’re excited to share that select pieces of student artwork will be featured in an upcoming museum exhibit at the Viola Heritage House Museum!
